The journey to amass wealth in WOTLK Classic started off on a less-than-stellar note, but hey, Rome wasn’t built in a day. The initial plan was to level up my character while simultaneously farming for a bit of starter gold. However, my enthusiasm for that plan waned faster than a murloc on dry land.
Pivoting quickly, I decided to hustle in Orgrimar, offering up my John Hancock for guild charters. After about an hour of ceaseless chatter in local and trade chat, my persistence paid off. Finally, a whisper! A generous soul offered me a tidy 25g for my autograph – a pretty decent start, if I do say so myself.
With my newfound wealth burning a hole in my pocket, I made my way to the auction house to make my initial investment. Peacebloom was selling for a steal at 43s, and I knew I could turn a profit, selling them for 98s. I snapped up 30, feeling quite proud of my shrewd business sense.
However, not all that glitters is gold – as my venture into the world of glyphs quickly showed me. Despite resetting the market successfully, none of my stock has sold so far. An investment blunder, but a lesson well learned.
Undeterred, I decided to stick to what I know and reinvested my Peacebloom profits back into, well, Peacebloom.
My current balance stands at a humble 1g 67s, with auctions valued at 101g 47s. For efficiency’s sake, I’ve listed all auctions for 48 hours. I may not be bathing in gold yet, but with a bit of luck, and some savvy auctioning, I’m hoping we’ll see some exciting progress. Stay tuned, the gold rush is just getting started!
